Doctor Who Start Date

The BBC this weekend released a new teaser trailer for the next series of Doctor Who and announced the broadcast date.

The fifth series of Doctor Who since it’s relaunch back in 2005 will begin in Easter, and assuming the show falls back into it’s Saturday night slot on BBC 1 it will be broadcast on the 3rd April.

Matt Smith will make his proper debut playing the iconic Time Lord after a brief appearance at the end of the Christmas special episode which saw David Tennant regenerate into the young nerd. The Doctor will be joined by his new regular companion, Amy Pond, played by Scottish ginger hottie Karen Gillan. In this latest series the Doctor and Amy will face old enemies such as the Silurians, the Weeping Angels and of course the Daleks.
