Man arrested for necrophilia in South Africa

A 41 year old mortuary assistant in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa has been arrested for having sexual intercourse with at least two dead bodies.

Police report that the man was literally caught with his pants down on Sunday when one of his colleagues walked in on him raping a corpse. The unnamed man was arrested and a police doctor examined all the bodies in the morgue this morning. The doctor confirmed that of the three corpses being stored at the morgue two had been violated sexually.

The man is due to appear at the Mthatha Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday to face charges of corpse violation.
