Piping The Truth Into Your Brainballs!
Story published on February 7, 2010
John Rhys-Davies who played Gimli the Dwarf in all three Lord of the Rings movies has been confirmed as a guest star on Legend of the Seeker.
Legend of the Seeker is filmed in New Zealand, like the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the current Hobbit movie. Craig Horner, who stars in Legend of the Seeker as Richard Cypher revealed in a recent interview with Xenite that Rhys-Davies had just completed filming his guest spot, he also hinted that he was interested in the new Hobbit movie too.
As filming will be in the same area of the world, surely it puts Horner that little further up the ladder when it comes to casting? As for Rhys-Davies, last October he told Empire that he wouldn’t be returning to play a dwarf in the new movie but he was open to the idea of playing an elf.
Legend of the Seeker returns to UK screens on the Sci Fi Channel on Monday 15th February.
