Billie Piper Says Doctor Who Movie Is Happening

Former Doctor Who star Billie Piper has revealed in an interview with Radio 1’s Sara Cox that the rumoured Doctor Who movie is going ahead.

Piper, who played Doctor’s companion Rose Tyler in the show was being interviewed on Radio 1 as she promotes her latest TV show Secret Diary of a Call Girl where she plays a prostitute. During her interview with Sara Cox, Billie spoke about the new Doctor, Matt Smith who she has worked with previously on Secret Diary of a Call Girl and also says that the rumours of a Doctor Who movie are true and it will be going ahead.

“Well I’ve heard that they’re doing it, and I know that they want David (Tennant) to do it” Piper told Sara Cox.

Billie goes on to say that Tennant is anxious about the movie being hijacked by Hollywood big-wigs who dump him and cast a huge celebrity A-lister such as Johnny Depp as the Time Lord.
