18 year old Sarah Rodriguez goes by the name Wolfie Blackheart and claims to be a werewolf. Or at least she claims to be a wolf, but she clearly isn’t one.
The oddball teenager has received her 15 minutes of fame after she severed the head from a dog, boiled and skinned the skull and posted the images on her MySpace page. A huge uproar ensued and Wolfie has found herself in the middle of an animal cruelty investigation.
Animal Care services and the local police in San Antonio are now performing forensic tests to try and determine whether the dog was still alive when Wolfie took one of her many knives and hacked off the head of the animal. Ms Blackheart claims the animal was already dead before she decapitated it, and insists she would never hurt a living dog.
“I would never kill a canine,” she said. “I am a canine.”
Wolfie, a Tourette’s sufferer, identifies as a dog. She wears a dog’s collar and harness, and even a tail. A sub-culture exists known as Furries, where people fantasise that they are animals by dressing up as them. But on top of Wolfie’s Furry tendencies she’s also a keen amateur taxidermist who has a collection of severed animal heads on display in her bedroom and even takes requests for roadkill.
