Dede Koswara, the Indonesian ‘Tree Man’ is set to go back under the knife this week as doctors hope to remove more of the root-like warts which are covering his body.
Dede’s doctor, Grace Dinata told reporters this morning that her team of surgeons will be meeting with Dede tomorrow (Monday 25th January) to discuss his ongoing treatment and make arrangements for the next phase in his surgery. Dr Dinata confirmed that the same team of three plastic surgeons, two orthopedic surgeons, and one anesthetist will be operating on Dede at a facility in Hasan Sadikin Hospital.
Last month Dede hit the headlines when he revealed that the bark-like growths that cover his body had begun to return after his last course of surgery to remove them. Dr Dinata explained today that Dede will likely require surgery every six months to keep on top of his condition.
