American TV company Fox are set to begin work on an American version of the Doctor Who spin-off show, Torchwood.
And if fans were worried that the Yanks were about to ruin the franchise they will be relieved to hear that Torchwood creator Russel T Davies is on board to produce the show and John Barrowman is expected to reprise his role as Captain Jack Harkness. Just what this means for the future of the British version of Torchwood is unsure.
Torchwood is set to return to the BBC for a fourth series, according to a recent interview with Barrowman. If the American pilot is successful Torchwood America will follow a global storyline which will see the group of alien hunters travelling further afield than Cardiff.
