No, not Natalie Portman who played the Queen of Naboo in Star Wars Episode One, but Keisha Castle-Hughes the Oscar nominated actress who played the Queen in Episode Three.
Castle-Hughes was nominated for best actress at the Academy Awards when she was just 13 for her part in the 2002 movie Whale Rider. The New Zealand native will be joining the rest of the Legend of the Seeker cast in her homeland to begin filming this week. The 19 year old actress will be playing The Creator, a young woman who claims to be the human embodiment of a god.
The hit TV show, based on Terry Goodkind’s Sword of Truth epic fantasy novels is rumoured to be returning to UK screens on Monday 15th February when the Sci Fi Channel premieres episode one of season two. Regular characters Richard Cypher (Craig Horner), Kahlan (Bridget Regan) and Zeddicus Zu’l Zorander (Bruce Spence) will all be returning along with an additional regular cast member Tabrett Bethell who plays the formerly evil Mord’Sith, Cara.
Other guest stars which have been announced include Charisma Carpenter of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel fame and Star Trek: Enterprise‘s Jolene Blalock.
