Mother And Daughter Trampled To Death By Elephant

A mother and her one year old daughter were killed by an elephant on a Kenyan safari on Monday.

The 39 year old woman was an American tourist on a guided tour on foot across a game reserve in Kenya. Four other members of the party, including the woman’s husband managed to run to safety.

The attack happened near the Castle Lodge in Mount Kenya National Park, a popular tourist resort. Godfrey Wakaba, a senior warden at the park said the victims’ bodies had been flown to the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.
