Woman Sets Fire To Herself After Black Magic Abuse

A 35 year old woman in India died earlier today after torching herself.

The woman, named Kiran, from Kanpur in north east India allegedly set herself ablaze following weeks of torment at the hands of her husband and in-laws. Kiran was allegedly kept locked in a room for more than a month by her husband Ramesh and in-laws after they used black magic to make her produce a child, the police said. Neighbours of the woman believe the black magic rituals and imprisonment drove her to commit suicide by setting fire to herself, self-immolation is most common in countries which practice Hinduism.

Kiran was taken to hospital following the event last night, she died this morning from her injuries. Her father in law Shivdhani was also seriously injured as he attempted to save her.
