Herefordshire’s Big Cat Number One Suspect In Mutilated Sheep

Following the remarkable video earlier this month of what appears to be a black panther stalking the Herefordshire countryside, a woman has come forward with reports of sheep mutilation in the area.

Steve Hall captured video footage earlier this month of a large black cat prowling fields at Newtown Crossroads. After viewing the footage Pauline Mannion has now come forward to report sheep being killed in that exact same location.

Mrs Mannion told the Hereford Times that four of her sheep had recently been killed in unknown circumstances, two in late November and two more just a week ago. Now Mrs Mannion fears for her horses which graze in fields at Newtown Crossroads.

“Perhaps there are big cats out there. I really don’t know,” said Mrs Mannion.

“If somebody has seen one I would have no reason to disbelieve them.”

Hereford police are investigating the slayings.
