12 year old Son Pham was discovered at a Vietnamese orphanage in 2007 by a Canadian charity organisation, he was suffering from a huge growth on his face which was a birthmark growing out of control.

The Children’s Bridge Foundation, based in Ottawa raised the funds to take Son to Canada and begin life changing reconstructive surgery to repair the boy’s deformed face.

Son has already undergone 23 separate surgery procedures that have massively improved his condition and he is now nearing the end of his treatment, all thanks to the kindness of strangers. The Children’s Bridge Foundation have managed to raise $750,000 in order to provide Son with the medical care he requires to fully remove the enormous tumour which was growing on his face.

Son’s next operation will take place on Christmas Eve, and he will then have one last procedure sometime in January. It is then hoped that Son will be able to return to Vietnam in February.
