Piping The Truth Into Your Brainballs!
Story published on December 16, 2009
Police in Brazil are searching for a man who they believe pushed 50 sewing needles into his two year old stepson as part of a black magic ritual.
The boy was rushed to hospital in the Brazilian town of Barreiras on Sunday after he began vomiting and complaining of stomach pains. When doctors examined him they discovered fifty needles pushed into his flesh all over his body.
“His condition is serious but stable. One needle perforated a lung, and he is weak. We drained the area and he is on a drip,” hospital spokeswoman Kelly Bessa said.
Doctors are preparing to operate on the toddler to remove the needles but are waiting until his breathing improves. Some of the needles are so close to the boy’s liver that they will have to be left where they are as it is too dangerous to remove them. Other needles were found in the boy’s neck, legs and abdomen.
Police are treating the crime as attempted murder, and they believe it was committed as part of a black magic ritual of some description. They have questioned the boy’s mother, María Souza Santos who originally claimed she had no idea how the needles got in the boy’s body but has since changed her story saying she believes the boy’s stepfather used him in some sort of ritual.
