Thomas Dolby starts new Star Wars movie rumour

Musician Thomas Dolby is at the centre of a web hysteria today after Star Wars fans picked up on comments he posted on his personal blog on December 5th.

According to Dolby his friend and former collaborator Paul Sebastien, who has worked for Playstation, Xbox and currently Lucasarts, has told him all about the forthcoming Star Wars TV show, online games and movie.

Dolby has subsequently posted a correction where he says he didn’t mean what he originally posted and that Paul Sebastien is a true professional who would never leak confidential information. This could quite possibly be the truth, Dolby may well have meant that as well as telling him about the forthcoming TV show Sebastien also told him about the existing movies. But considering that back in October a so called reliable source leaked news that a possible 3D trilogy could be in the pipeline, maybe there is a slim chance that more Star Wars could be heading for the silver screen.

George Lucas quickly denied the rumours, of course. But he wouldn’t be very likely to confirm them either.
