Stargate Actors Reunite On Sanctuary

Amanda Tapping will be reunited with fellow Stargate actor Michael Shanks when Shanks guest stars on a forthcoming episode of Sanctuary.

Tapping who stars as Dr Helen Magnus, the creator of the Sanctuary first became a household name by playing Samantha Carter in Stargate SG-1. Shanks is also a Stargate cast member, he took over the role of Dr. Daniel Jackson when the movie transferred to the small screen.

Shanks is now lined up to appear in Sanctuary as an abnormal mutant who works for the Sanctuary Organisation as a smuggler. Shanks’ character Jimmy has a marsupial like pouch in his abdomen which he uses to conceal things, such as other abnormals. During the episode entitled Penance Shanks’ character will be forced to go on the run from some bad guys with the assistance of the annoying Kate Freelander, played by Agam Darshi.

The best Sanctuary news this week though is the revelation that the genius, wine quaffing vampire Nikola Tesla will be returning to the show in the near future in the episode Sleepers. Magnus runs into her old friend in Mexico whilst investigating missing teenagers. Before all this Monday night’s episode (entitled Next Tuesday) promises a smashing monster battle between a Vampire Squid and a Sea Scorpion.

Sanctuary is shown on ITV 4 at 22:00 Monday nights.
