Joshua Jackson To Star In UFO

Fringe star Joshua Jackson has been confirmed as the lead in the new UFO film based on the cult 70s TV show.

Jackson, who plays Peter Bishop in the excellent sci-fi show Fringe on Sky 1 Sunday nights has landed the role of Paul Foster, a test pilot who joins SHADO (Supreme Headquarters Alien Defence Organisation) a super secret organisation who act as a resistance force against an alien invasion. The film will be set in the not too distant future and follows the same concept as the original 70s TV show created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, a race of aliens attacks Earth and hunts humans to harvest their body parts.

As previously reported the movie is being produced by Robert Evans’ (The Saint) company, with a screenplay by Ryan Gaudet and Joseph Kanarek. Matthew Gratzner is on board to direct, this will be his directing debut but Gratzner has previously worked on visual effects for Hancock, Iron Man and Resident Evil: Extinction.
