Psychoville Series Two

Is unfortunately way off.

The BBC have commissioned six more episodes of the dark comedy, but they won’t be televised until spring 2011. That’s practically two years away.

Some slight encouragement is the added news that a one off special is also going to be produced, for those who can’t wait until 2011 you will be able to see this special episode in winter 2010. That’s still a full year away though.

Psychoville is the latest vile offering from two of the members of The League of Gentlemen, Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton. The show introduced a brilliant cast of characters including retarded serial killers, a hook-handed clown, pantomime dwarves and a selection of other freaks and misfits. Winter 2010 is simply too long to wait for new material from Shearsmith and Pemberton, and you can only watch the DVDs so many times.
