Shock rockers Gwar have been conformed for next year’s Bloodstock festival in Derbyshire.

Gwar are a Grammy Award-nominated thrash metal band formed in Richmond, Virginia in 1985. The band is best known for their elaborate sci-fi/horror film inspired costumes; raunchy, obscene lyrics; and graphic stage performances, which consist of humorous re-enactments of political and moral taboo themes. They will join the Bloodstock line up which already includes Behemoth, Cannibal Corpse and Obituary.

The festival will be held at Catton Hall in Derbyshire on the weekend beginning Friday 13th August 2010. And what’s more anyone buying their tickets before Christmas this year will be able to get them at 2008’s prices. To buy tickets just click here: B-O-A.
