Charlie’s Angels Set To Return To Television

ABC are on the verge of commissioning a brand new version of the 70s TV show, Charlie’s Angels.

The show already has three executive producers, Leonard Goldberg was one of the original producers who created the show back in 1976. Joining him is another Charlie’s Angels veteran, Drew Barrymore. Barrymore starred in and produced the Charlie’s Angels movie in 2000 which also starred Lucy Liu and Cameron Diaz. But more excitingly Josh Friedman has also been named as executive producer and writer.

Friedman was the man behind the brilliant Terminator spin-off, The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Angels looks like another brilliant vehicle for Friedman to make some kick-ass television. With some real luck we might see him reunite with former SCC star Summer Glau, who would make a superb Angel. The question on everyone’s lips is who will be cast as the three Angels, there are so many possible options and so many great young actresses around at the moment. And this show has the potential to be every fanboy’s ultimate fantasy production, they may even write it in that the Angels all live in the same apartment and frequently shower together or at least have regular pillow fights in their lingerie.

Who would you cast?
