BreastsScientists in Australia have made a breakthrough in breast reconstruction following a mastectomy. Using a revolutionary technique the scientists claim they can simply regrow the removed breasts.

The procedure, known as Neopec involves building a “scaffold” from the patient’s own fat tissue. This frame work is then inserted under the skin of the woman’s chest and and connected to the blood supply, the body then simply fills the void by growing new breast tissue. The breasts are literally just grown back after being removed.

The breasts can be completely regrown within six to eight months. The procedure has already been successfully carried out on pigs.
