Two workmen on the Island of Jersey got quite a shock this week when an albino snake slithered out from under their van’s bonnet and began wriggling across the windscreen.
Fortunately for Morne Aspeling and James Denton the snake wasn’t a viper at all, but just an escaped non-venomous pet milk snake. The two blokes weren’t to know that though, and they made a hasty retreat from the vehicle when they clapped eyes on it. Animal control experts came and quickly trapped the snake, it has been taken to a local animal sanctuary and it is hoped that the snake’s worried owners can be located.
