Death Metal legends Cannibal Corpse have been confirmed for next year’s Bloodstock Open Air Festival.
The line up for B-O-A now boasts Andromeda, Behemoth, Cannibal Corpse, Doro, Dream Evil, Leaves Eyes, Obituary, Rage, Ross The Boss, Suffocation and Devin Townsend. The festival began back in 2005 with the intention of bringing a wider selection of real heavy metal bands to the UK during a time when most festivals were only providing the more mainstream rock and pop/punk sissy Emo bands.
The event will be held at Catton Hall in deepest mullet territory, Derbyshire. Some of the smaller communities situated within the Lichfield, Burton On Trent and Tamworth triangle won’t acknowledge that grunge ever happened, and they wear their tasseled biker leathers with pride. The festival will run from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th August and tickets are just £89.95 including camping.
The festival has three stages, there will be market areas full of stalls selling heavy metal paraphernalia, heavy metal karaoke and plenty of booze and food outlets. If my memory of the Donington Monsters of Rock Festivals is correct, your common or garden heavy metal fan has an almost insatiable appetite for burgers and alcohol.

Bottles full of piss will be required whilst Doro are on stage.
