Anthony SowellAnthony Sowell, the Ohio man wanted in connection with the discovery of six corpses has been apprehended near a police station in Cleveland.

Cleveland Police spokesman, Lt. Thomas Stacho told gathered reporters that Sowell had been spotted loitering around the 4th District Police Station and police were alerted to his whereabouts.

Sowell is a convicted rapist and registered sex offender, earlier this month a woman came forward to allege that Sowell had raped her. During a police investigation a search of Sowell’s home was carried out and the gruesome discovery of six decomposing corpses was made. Two bodies were simply found on the third floor of the building, the remaining four had been crudely hidden in shallow graves or simply in the building’s crawlspace.

Sowell is believed to have shared the property with his elderly aunt and uncle, neither of his relatives have been seen or heard of in a long time.

Residents in the area of Cleveland where Sowell’s house of horrors has been uncovered fear that a local woman, Nancy Cobbs may have been one of his alleged victims. Cobbs lived just one street away from the Sowell property and has been missing since April.

None of the bodies have been formally identified as of yet.
