Sin City 2 Will Begin Filming Next Year

Rumours of not one, but two Sin City sequels began before the first movie was even released at the cinema. Now after a four year wait there is news that a second movie will begin filming late in 2010.

Sin City 2 will see Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez reunite to co-direct the movie but this time Miller will be producing a completely original script for the film. Fans will obviously already know that the original film was a near perfect movie adaptation of some of Miller’s fantastic graphic novels, and with plenty of material left it was always assumed Miller would simply adapt some of his remaining work.

The first film starred Bruce Willis, Micky Rourke, Jessica Alba and Clive Owen among many others. All actors have expressed an interest in reprising their roles, despite some of them already being killed off in the first film. Miller’s new material may try to pick up on these characters or he may head in a different direction.
