Authorities in Tanzania have evicted the victim of a brutal machete attack out of a safe house, leaving her vulnerable to albino hunters.

Mariam Staford Bandaba was attacked last year by a gang of machete wielding thugs who hacked off both her hands to sell to witchdoctors. Tanzania and part of the surrounding area have been plagued these past few years by vicious albino slayers who literally hack their victims to pieces so they can sell the body parts as ingredients for voodoo fetishes.

Ms Staford Bandaba was lucky enough to escape with her life and agreed to testify against her attackers who were later apprehended. The Tanzanian Government agreed to protect Ms Staford Bandaba and placed her in a safe house, but now the BBC report that she has been evicted from the property and now faces the dangers of being a disabled albino in Tanzania.

According to the BBC the Tanzanian authorities are confident that attacks on albinos are now a thing of the past, stating that there have been no attacks in the region Ms Staford Bandaba comes from in the past year.
