Red Dwarf Series 10 Given Green Light

Red Dwarf actor Robert Llewellyn, who plays bumbling robot Kryten, let slip this weekend that a tenth series of the show would be produced.

Cable channel Dave revived the show earlier this year after a period of ten years since the last series. Red Dwarf: Back to Earth was a three part series that was broadcast over the Easter holiday period, it seems despite getting mixed reviews the success of the three parter has brought about enough interest to commission another full series of episodes.

This weekend saw the Dimension Jump convention for Red Dwarf enthusiasts held in Birmingham, it was during the convention that the tenth series was officially announced and Llewellyn then posted about it on his Twitter account.

“Series 10 of Red Dwarf announcement just been made at DJ 09. To clarify the scripts have been commissioned, won’t be filming til 2010″ Llewellyn tweeted.
