Piping The Truth Into Your Brainballs!
Story published on October 6, 2009
A 74 year old woman was brought to the ground and seriously mauled by a pack of menacing raccoons this weekend.
Gretchen Whitted watched the gang of coons as they loitered in her back garden. When the trouble makers moved round to the front of her home she opened her front door to confront them. But the pack of five beasts set about the pensioner, biting her legs and bringing her to the ground. Once the animals had downed Whitted they surrounded her on the ground and continued biting her.
Neighbours alerted by Whitted’s screams ran to the scene to find the old lady covered in blood, with cuts covering her body from the neck down.
“We’re not talking about a lot of little bites here,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd told the Associated Press.
“She was filleted.” he added.
Whitted was taken to hospital where medics used staples and sutures to close up the multiple wounds. The old lady was then treated for rabies.
Animal control officers are hunting for the gang of marauders but so far they’ve only managed to catch a cat and a possum.
