Two Year Jail Sentence In Infant Rat Attack Case

18 year old Todd C. Trent from Ohio has been sentenced to two years in prison for child endangerment after the six week old baby he was responsible for was attacked by rats and her toes chewed off.

Trent, along with two other people were arrested back in July after the police discovered a six week old baby at the trailer they lived in had suffered persistent rodent attacks. The child had bites covering it’s body and two of it’s toes had been completely gnawed off.

The mother of the baby, Katrina Lowe was only 17 at the time the baby was found. She will be tried at a juvenile court as a delinquent. 29 year old Tina Gunter and 33 year old Joseph Gunter who also lived in the trailer have also been charged with child endangerment and are yet to appear in court.
