WitchGangadhar Ninawe murdered his wife Archana Ninawe, the mother of his two children on 16th September for allegedly believing she was a witch.

Archana Ninawe married her husband in 1997 and soon after began complaining that he and his family tortured her. In 2004 she separated from her husband and moved back to her parents home, she reported Gangadhar and his family for torturing her, and claimed child support which a court granted her.

Gangadhar Ninawe convinced his wife to move back in with him, but shortly after she moved back into their home which they shared with the rest of her husband’s family, her brother in law died. Gangadhar continually accused her of practicing black magic which was the cause of his brother’s death.

Last week Archana’s family reported her missing and Gangadhar confessed to killing her. Gangadhar admitted to police that he had killed his wife, and told them it was because she was a witch. He also told police that after killing his wife the rest of his family helped him discard the body by putting it in a bag and dumping it in a field, the Times of India reports.

Gangadhar and his family insist that Archana was killed for practicing black magic, however Archana’s family claim that Gangadhar was seeing another woman.
