First Albino Slaying Convictions In Tanzania ~ Three To Hang

The first convictions have been made in Tanzania over the brutal slayings of albino Africans to harvest their body parts.

Tanzania and some of it’s surrounding nations have been plagued recently with the barbaric and brutal murders of albino citizens who are literally hacked to death and their skin, limbs and genitals removed for voodoo fetishes.

In this groundbreaking case the Tanzanian authorities have at long last brought three of those sadistic murderers to justice, and now they will be executed.

The three men were convicted for killing 14 year old Matatizo Dunia, in December last year he was hacked to death as he slept in his bed and the three assailants fled with the boy’s legs.

For many the fact that justice is now being seen to be done is good news and the hope is it will deter further atrocities, however the BBC‘s Africa analyst Mary Harper believes that in a country as poor as Tanzania the temptation to chop off an albino’s reproductive gland for easy cash will be hard to overcome.
