Black Widow victorious in buffalo wing contest

Sonya “The Black Widow” Thomas has won the national Buffalo Wing Eating Championship held in Buffalo this weekend.

Thomas has a very good form in this event, she has now won the contest three years in a row. But Thomas had her work cut out, also competing were big Buffalo Jim Reeves who’s main aim is to win this event, and fresh from this weeks World Rib Eating Championship in Nevada, Pat Bertoletti.

Bertoletti was flagging this weekend, the number two ranked competitive eater only managed to secure fourth place with an underwhelming 159 wings. Thomas walked away with first place by gobbling 169 wings in 12 minutes.
