Black Widow Through To The Finals

Sonya “The Black Widow” Thomas breezed to victory yesterday at the World Hamburger-Eating Championship qualifying round held in San Antonio.

Thomas came first place by devouring a massive 64 burgers in eight minutes. Second place went to Erik “The Red” Denmark who only managed 55 burgers. Thomas will now face Joey Chestnut at the Krystal Square Off World Hamburger-Eating Championship finals held at Ross’s Landing in Chattanooga, Tenn. on 27th September. The winner of the finals will walk away with a cool $50,000.

Thomas may need to improve her performance though if she hopes to beat record holder Chestnut who can wolf down over 100 burgers in eight minutes.
