Kidnapped Girl Found 18 Years Later

Jaycee Lee Dugard was just 11 years old when she was abducted from the side of the road on the 10th June 1991. For the past 18 years no one has seen or heard from her, until yesterday.

News 10 reports that a now 29 year old Jaycee walked into a California police station yesterday and gave the police the identities of the two people alleged to have kidnapped her from South Lake Tahoe 18 years ago. The two culprits are now in police custody and a full press conference is due to be held later today.

Witnesses in 1991 told California police how they saw a car spin round in the road and a man and a woman get out of the car and grab Jaycee Dugard as she walked to the bus stop on her way to school. Detectives at the time believe Jaycee was then driven across state lines and was never seen or heard from again. All lines of investigation came to dead ends, but Jaycee’s family never gave up hope of finding their missing daughter.
