Piping The Truth Into Your Brainballs!
Story published on August 22, 2009
A group of women married to members of the armed forces in the UK have produced a fantastic nude calendar in aid of charity.
Much like the famous Women’s Institute Calendar Girls, the Garrison Girls are a group of women with no previous modelling experience who have come together to help support British Veterans charites Combat Stress and Help For Heroes.
The driving force behind the Garrison Girls is Sarah Bennett Thurston who’s husband is currently serving in the British Army.
“I just wanted to do something positive as a military wife.” Sarah told The Telegraph.
“It can be very very hard. It is hell waiting for the phone to ring. So there is a really strong bond of camaraderie between women involved in the military.
“The main thing is that the Garrison Girls represent all services, all ranks, all units – we are all in this together.
“Having the photos taken was bizarre, everyone was nervous but you just get into it and it’s really exciting.”
25 year old Chrissie Cox from Surrey is Miss November.
“At first we were all quite shy about having our pictures taken, but when we saw how they had come out we just thought ‘wow, take some more’.
“My husband said he was very proud of what I was doing and I’m always telling him how proud I am of the work he does.”
Garrison Girls began last year and the 2009 Calendar has already raised thousands of pounds for charity, this years target with the 2010 Calendar is £60,000.
The photographs for both calendars were taken by one of the UK’s leading erotic photographers, Mick Payton.
You can purchase your own copy of this remarkable and unique collectors item by visiting the Garrison Girls’ website: The Garrison Girls Calendar.
The calendar costs just £12.50 including P&P with proceeds going to the two charities.
