Pensioner Finds Python In Shopping bag

63 year old Lesley Coles from Somerset got the shock of her life this week when she found a three foot snake hiding in her shopping bag.

Mrs Coles had just taken the bag out of a kitchen cupboard when her pet dog Trixie began barking and growling frantically, the Metro reports. Mrs Coles dropped the bag immediately, and that’s when she saw the bag moving as the snake began wriggling.

“I couldn’t believe it when I saw it. I was shaking for ages afterwards – I was scared to death” she said.

“If it hadn’t been for my little dog I would have taken the snake shopping.”

Mrs Coles called her daughter who lives nearby and the bag, with the snake still inside was placed in a secure spot. The RSPCA were called who took the snake away to be rehoused.

The RSPCA told Mrs Coles that the reptile could have been living in her cupboard for weeks.
