Pregnant Woman Bludgeoned To Death In Random Attack

A pregnant 21 year old woman was bludgeoned to death in broad daylight in a random attack by a maniac.

The apparently motiveless attack was carried out on a busy street in the South African city Pietermaritzburg. Nonpumelo Ndlovu was walking along the street with her friend Nokuthula Mohloung when the man suddenly attacked her with an iron bar. He smashed Ndlovu in the head with the metal rod, splitting her skull instantly and dropping her to the ground. As Ndlovu lay dying the man continued to pummel her brains out with the bar, the South African Times reports that the woman’s head was so badly battered she was practically decapitated.

The Witness reports that passers by attempted to stop the mad man from continuing to attack Ndlovu as she lay on the ground bleeding, but anyone who approached the man were also threatened and they were unable to persuade him to cease his actions.

Mohloung managed to flag down a passing police patrol car and two police officers confronted the lunatic, but he still refused to stop smashing Ndlovu’s brainball in. Eventually after the man lunged at the police officers they were forced to shoot him.

The man was shot in the arm and chest and taken to hospital where he is recovering under police guard. A police spokesman told The Witness that the man is suffering from a mental illness.
