National GoTopless Day

The good folk of the Raelian Movement are organising National GoTopless events across America.

GoTopless.org, which was founded by Rael the spiritual leader of the Raelian Movement is planning seven separate topless events in different locations across the US on Sunday 23rd August 2009.

The events are being organised to highlight the stupidity of US law which forbids women to expose their breasts yet allows men to go topless wherever they like.

“as long as men can be topless, constitutionally women should have the same right, or men should also be forced to wear something hiding their chest.” Rael writes on the website.

The date of the protests has been planned so they fall closely to the anniversary of women being given the right to vote in the United States, Women’s Equality Day. GoTopless say they want women’s breasts to be perceived as noble and that they shouldn’t always be sexualised. They believe that men should be able to admire a topless woman’s boobs and appreciate them without having a sexual reaction, in the same way a man can appreciate and control himself when he sees a woman in a short skirt or revealing outfit.

GoTopless have organised events in New York, Miami, Venice Beach, Chicago, Portland, Columbus and Maui. For more details, or to organise your own topless event go to their website GoTopless.org.

Both men and women can attend the events, which promise peaceful rallies, free entertainment and body painting. They do warn that people attending the events should wear adequate sunscreen on their titties.
