The cast and crew of the BBC paranormal drama Being Human have begun work on the second series of the hit show.
The show follows three housemates living in Bristol, a vampire, werewolf and a ghost in their attempt to just live a normal life, being human. The pilot for the show was originally broadcast on BBC Three in 2008 with a slightly different cast and due to overwhelming interest a full series was commissioned in 2009.
The three main cast members have recently returned from the US where they have been promoting the show after it’s premier on BBC America at the end of last month. Aidan Turner, who plays the charming vampire Mitchell in the show has been talking to BBC Radio 1′s Newsbeat this week about what fans can hope to see in series two.
“From what I’ve read it’s really, really good and really exciting.” he told Newsbeat’s Frances Cronin.
“It’s longer this year, we have eight episodes instead of six, so they’ve given themselves a bit more room to take it places later on in the series.”
“It’s just really exciting from the get go. It picks up almost where it left off, there’s no huge time lapse.”
“It happens as the audience were seeing it from the last episode. It pretty much continues. You get the vibe from that if you’ve seen the series.”
