Skateboarding Legend Dies From Wasp Sting

Skateboarding legend Andy Kessler died on Monday after being stung by a wasp. He was 48.

Kessler was a big name in skateboarding in the 1970s, he was part of the group who coined the phrase Zoo York. They were a collection of skateboarders and New York graffiti artists calling themselves the Soul Artists of Zoo York.

Kessler’s sister Jodi told the New York Times that he was stung by a wasp whilst surfing off the coast of Montauk. Kessler suffered an extreme allergic reaction and died from a heart attack.
