7.5 Kilogram Rat Found In Madagascar

Local media in Madagascar have reported the discovery of an enormous 7.5 kilogram rat in the Mandena nature reserve in the south of the country.

The average weight for a brown rat such as the one spotted is just 1.5 kilograms, this gigantic rodent of unusual size is described as being the same size as a six month old baby.

Following the recent spate of babies being eaten by rats the idea of a rat the size of a baby is surely the stuff of nightmares.

Residents in the area of Madagascar where the rat was discovered are speculating that it is a mutant strain which may have escaped from a research laboratory, Monsters and Critics reports.
