Malaysian Woman Breastfeeds Ape

Authorities in Kuala Lumpur have seized a baby ape from a woman’s home after they discovered she had been raising it as a human child, even breastfeeding the little monkey.

According to the Malaysian Star the Department of National Parks and Wildlife in Kuala Lumpur received complaints about the woman from her neighbours saying the monkey was dirty and was causing a disturbance. When officers entered the home this weekend they found the ape dressed in human clothes and a nappy.

The woman told them that she had been raising the primate since it was born, but admitted she did not possess a licence to keep the wild animal. The officers found that the animal was well cared for and it’s nappies were regularly changed, but as there was no licence the animal had to be removed from the property.

The tearful woman pleaded with the authorities not to take the animal which she claims to have breastfed since it was born.
