Piping The Truth Into Your Brainballs!
Story published on July 26, 2009
The brand new George A. Romero zombie movie has been given an official title. Fans are hopeful that Survival of the Dead will be a return to form for Romero after many were disappointed with his last zombie movie Diary of the Dead.
Diary used a documentary style and followed a group of young filmmakers as they document a zombie outbreak, it proved unpopular with many Romero fans as it broke away from his traditional ….of the Dead style.
Survival is more in keeping with what fans expect from a Romero zombie film, it focuses on a band of soldiers who travel to a deserted island hoping that it is the last safe place on Earth, away from the zombie hordes. Obviously it won’t be, but it should create lots of opportunities for blasting the brains out of zombies and tons of flesh eating fun. The film is set for release in September.
The good folk at io9 have snaffled these great stills from the film.
