Dustin Radke and Nicholas Grunke
TH Online reports that the pervert wept in the stand when his sentence was given.
“I find it hard to look for a brighter tomorrow when the rest of the world says I’m a monster,” he said.
Grunke was convicted of attempting to dig up the corpse of Laura Tennessen so he could have sex with it. He was assisted in his attempt at necrophilia by his former friend Dustin Radke, but Radke turned grass when the heat was on and gave evidence against Grunke at court.
Radke had entered a plea bargain to give evidence against his friend in order to get a lighter sentence. Radke told the court that Grunke offered him $500 to help him exhume Miss Tennessen’s remains, which didn’t go down very well with the judge.
Radke was given a one year sentence himself, and both men will have to sign the sex offender’s register.
Grunke’s lawyer, Suzanne Edwards argued that his sentence was too harsh, and called Radke a rat.
“(Radke) is a rat and what do rats do when the ship sinks? They jump,” she said.
Edwards argued that Radke’s testimony lacked credibility due to the plea bargaining. She also argued against placing Grunke on the sex offenders register saying that he would probably be the first ever virgin on the list.
There are also fears for Grunke’s safety whilst in jail:
“He’s likely to be abused. He’s likely to be raped,” Edwards said.
