First Look At New Doctor Who On Set

Filming for the brand new series of Doctor Who began today and the first images of the new Doctor and his assistant in costume have hit the net.

These are the first images of new Doctor Matt Smith and his sexy redhead assistant Karen Gillan filming on location in Cardiff. The series won’t be broadcast until next year so this is the first opportunity for Doctor Who fans to see what Matt will look like in the new shows.

Unfortunately it seems he looks a bit of a dork!

The tweed jacket and bow tie make him look like a bland, taller and skinnier Sylvester McCoy. Fortunately the BBC haven’t completely scrimped on the glamour, they’re making up for it with the young Miss Gillan who should keep all the dads happy on Saturday nights whilst the kids hide behind the sofa.
