Steve CarrierSteve Carrier from Dallas has smashed his previous world record of 23 baseball bats by snapping 30 baseball bats with his bare hands in less than a minute!

Carrier was at the Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium on Saturday night hoping to beat his previous record which was televised by Ripley’s Believe it or Not in 2008. On the night Carrier powered through his event, there was no stopping him. The strongman actually ran out of bats to snap before the time was up, he broke all 30 bats that he brought with him with still a few seconds on the clock. Once verified he will be added to the Guinness Book of World Records.

“I thought I had another five or 10 bats in me,” Carrier said. “I figured 30 would be good and I didn’t know if I could reach that. I may have to try again next year.”

Carrier uses his feats of strength as a lure to get kids to listen to him preach about God.

“I bring a positive message about positive choices and encouraging young people to choose the right friends,” Carrier said. “I use the strength stuff as bait to share a lifting message.”

“Here’s this person who was once a stutterer and now I’m going around breaking world records,” Carrier said. “That’s all because of God.”

On Wednesday night Carrier will be preaching at a local church in Montgomery.
