Things turned ugly during a water fight when an 11 year old boy from Scunthorpe decided to up the stakes by flinging balloons freshly filled with urine.
When 19 year old Grant McArthur was splashed with the piss-bomb he lashed out at the young urine bomber, kicking him so fiercely he broke the boys arm. This Is Scunthorpe reports that McArthur appeared in Grimsby Crown Court yesterday to face the charge of assault.
“The victim was having a water fight with two friends at the rear of Sutton House. Someone threw a water bomb, which hit the defendant.”
McArthur chased and caught the youngster.
“He went to kick him on the thigh area but the complainant put his arm down and it struck him on the arm,” The prosecution told the court.
McArthur admitted the assault but argued there was provocation by being soaked in piss.
Judge Graham Robinson said the youngster suffered “a significant injury”, after being kicked by McArthur for throwing a water bomb “containing urine”.
“You decided it merited revenge, in the form of a fierce kick,” he said.
McArthur was given a 40-week jail sentence suspended for two years, and 150 hours community service.
