Piping The Truth Into Your Brainballs!
Story published on July 5, 2009
In recent months the sickening news coming out of Tanzania about the brutal slaying of albino Africans in ritual murders has shocked the world. But sadly it seems as if a new sick fad is taking off in Nigeria, where their witch doctors aren’t quite as fussy.
Officials in the Nigerian city of Kano have been speaking of the alarming increase in child abduction and ritual murder. It seems in Nigeria the voodoo fetish priests are happy to use body parts from toddlers and young children to create their potions and spells, and there is no requirement for them to be albino.
“Ritual killers are now on the prowl in the city on an increasing scale, abducting children for rituals for wealth and positions,” A government official told AFP.
“This trend has been on the rise in the last three months as the number of complaints we receive from parents about their missing children has more than doubled. The abducted children are usually between two and five years old,” he said.
According to Aisha Kabir of Nigeria’s Freedom Radio the number of kidnapped children has more than doubled.
“An average 50 parents placed announcements with us on their missing children every week in the last three months, compared to 20 such complaints before,” he said.
