New horror film featuring stars from Merlin and Primeval

A new horror film from director Paddy Breathnach, the man behind Shrooms has been released at the cinema this week.

Red Mist is a stalker type killer movie with a slight difference, the main protagonist of the film (played by Primeval star Andrew Lee Potts) lies unconscious in a hospital bed and possesses others in order to carry out his grisly murders. Potts’ character Kenneth is a retarded janitor who is humiliated by a group of student doctors. They play a prank on him which puts him in a vegetative state and through feelings of guilt try out an experimental drug on him to try and save his life.

From there it goes a bit pear shaped for the students, one by one Kenneth takes control of people’s bodies in order to wreak his bloody vengeance.

The cast is made up of a selection of up and coming new faces which include the aforementioned Potts and also Merlin actress Katie McGrath.
