Star Wars TV Show Begins Pre-Production

Star Wars TV showThe eagerly anticipated live action Star Wars television show is rumoured to be beginning pre-production in Australia.

Sci Fi TV in Australia say that pre-production of the show has been confirmed to them by Lucasfilm insiders, and the show will be shot in Australia.

Star Wars producer Rick McCallum is reported to have already approached Australian TV writers who worked on the shows Love My Way and Secret Life of Us. It’s a bold move away from traditional experienced science fiction writers.

The show is supposed to be ready for broadcast some time in 2010 and will be set between episodes three and four. None of the main characters from the movies is said to be featured regularly in the TV show, so it won’t be following Darth Vader or Obi Wan Kenobi but Boba Fett is said to feature heavily in the series.
