The remaining members of New Order have formed a new band called Bad Lieutenant and they are set to release an album in October this year.

Bassist Peter Hook left the band in 2007 when he told press that New Order had split up. However the rest of the band insisted they had not split, but Hooky was spitting his dummy out.

So founding members Bernard Sumner and Stephen Morris, together with New Order guitarist Phil Cunningham and Blur bassist Alex James have formed Bad Lieutenant.

In a recent interview Bernard Sumner told BANG Showbiz that the new album is completed and waiting to be released. He also said of Peter Hook, “fuck him”.
